New York is known for private clubs with long wait lists… but to have one right on a beautiful pristine beach… that is something highly coveted. Chelsea and Pete grew up at this private beach club where Pete’s parents also got married. Rain was in the forecast for the weekend but fair weather was on their side as it rained in the surrounding towns except where they got married. The bride never once mentioned her concern about the weather which truly reveals how relaxed she was about her day. When it was time to shoot the beach portrait session, we took the crew down to the beach and had a blast. You can see the entire wedding highlights here or click on the first image below:
Although the event had a classic undertone with a traditional ceremony held at a Cathedral, the couple incorporated a lot of contemporary wedding details into their day. During cocktail hour, there were passed trays of sunglasses and shawls along with baskets of flip flops for the guests to relax and meld into the beach scene. Signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres of seafood and summer inspired bites along with a raw bar echoed the beach vibe that played throughout the wedding day. And of course the band played all the fun club mixes as the guests danced into the night.
